"hello..."So I want OPINIONS! TONS OF THEM! I need a color on the walls and a suggestion on where to put shelving...as apposed to the bogus "rack" thing I'm using right now!
Keep in mind Jessica likes bright-happy colors and the weird brown carpet and the brown ceiling are staying.

I think you should choose bright happy yellow, like Daisies!! And then get white shelves...OOO! OR PINK... hmm, you know what? I think you should just do rainbow shelves. Pink, purple, blue (like a bright turquoise kind of blue), and then alternate it every other shelf kinda thing. :) Brilliant. Then, You should do corner shelves, with just some straight shelves going on either side as well. Then, if you spaced the shelve accordingly, you could even store your laundry baskets on the bottom shelf right next to the washer and dryer. You should even get some shelves that fit directly under that cute window, and then get some curtains that have all the same colors as the shelves in it. :) AND if you wanted to hide the shelves, you could even use the same kind of fabric as the curtains, and make curtains for the shelves. Oh, OR get little plastic tote thingys that also have all the awesome colors to put ON the shelves. And you could label them. :) Thank you for allowing my girlie interior designer emerge. :) If you want anymore input, I can give you a whole new layout in 5 minutes. haha. Love you Jessica. I think you could totally take advantage of the brown. Brown looks good with plenty of things! Blue, purple, pink even. I would paint the walls a steel blue sort of color. Then add blue curtains to the windows and accent with more brown to make it look as though the brown that is already there was meant to be there. Purple would work well too (in my opinion anyway). You could also accent with pops of color, like orange. I LOVE orange and blue together!! As for shelving, you could either paint the wood shelving you have now in either brown, blue, or orange (going with the theme I have suggested of course). Or go and grab some more and custom make something else that you like better. A few floating shelves on the walls would look cool as well and would add places to add your accents. Also, with the curtains, if you hung them higher than the windows good and do floor to ceiling curtains you would make the room look taller and therefore, more spacious. Do I watch HGTV too much? I think so. Anyway, that was my first train of though. Love you and good luck sweetie!
