Slaying the Dragon

So I was playing around, commenting on blogs and stuff and I saw that I had a profile people could view
*Say WHAT?*
And it turns out as some point I had written stuff on it! But it was out of date, So I updated it and I got to the bottom and it was all
"here's a random question you can answer"
*raised eyebrows*
Ok...
Turns out the question was AWESOME! but it wouldn't let me write more than 400 characters for my answer...
*lame*
SO I copy and pasted it here!
I know how much more random can my posts be?!

"You've successfully slain the dragon! How will you toast your marshmallows?"

oh no! I have no fire with which to roast my mallow! How can life go on...I don't see how it can...
*she looks upon the dragon, and it's tallons, glistening with the beasts deep red blood. And taking that tallon I plunged it into the depths of my heart. I felt it. I felt the life, neigh, the light start to drain out of me. Things grew dark, but I could smell wild roses on the horrizon. And then as suddenly as it came, the pain was gone.

One bright day,
in the middle of the night,
two dead boys got up to fight.
Back to back they faced each other,
drew their swords and shot each other.
A deaf policeman heard the noise,
went outside and killed the dead boys.
If you don't believe my stories true,
ask the blind man,
he saw it too.

This is a just for me post :)
So I NEVER EVER forget :)
I was playing with friends a while back and they rememinded me of how my bestest buddy boy-shaped-friend met my boyfriend (the current Mr. Jessica :)) and it made me get all sappy :)
I brought Mr. Jessica to school, after school to meet some of my friends.
I had told them all about him as I was very much in Lobe :)
And My friend Matthew walked up to Mr. Jessica, took him by the hand and with out so much as a "Hello" recited this to him :)
(Matthew is funny like that :))
Josh never breaking eye contact, just stood there. When Matthew finished Hubby just smiled at him :)
Matthew smiled and nodded. Voting that he was good :)

like I said , silly, but it made me smile :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE BROTHER!!!
Two weeks late but I finally got his one year old pictures taken :)

Pre-Photo Break - this kid LOVES PB&J :)

* He looks so little in the grass :) *

I got a lot of "tush" pictures :) go figure, its like he had places to be :)

His first encounter with sand :)

And he throws the sand... :)

 Goodness I love his smile!

Happy Birthday Little Brother :) Our little family is so lucky to have you sweet boy :)

Memory Lane : Jessica Style

So this last week I went through my spoon collection :)
*say what? your SPOON collection??*
It's true :) a spoon collection :)
No not the cute ones you get from stores with states on them
Plastic ones :)
It all started in high school
*flashback music plays and pictures of silly highschool Jessica fade into veiw*
I - like so many teenagers - LOVED ICE CREAM! Even wrote a paper on it for a couple classes...yes, I was that lonely. And then one day I was talking to a buddy, Chris, and I noticed that Chris had a spoon behind his ear ... *raised eyebrows*.... So I asked him about it. He told me that he carries one around, on his person, incase of ice cream ever emergencies. And it hit me - I could've missed out on ICE CREAM because of my lack of SPOON!?! I was devistated. So I started carrying one around.
And eventually it turned into keeping one from all occasions I could :) and on some I would write what the occassion was.

But it got out of control...

I counted and sorted and split and tossed.
And eventually I came out with
125 Spoons in totally :)
*82 dated and marked - 43 blank*
Now I've got to find something to do with the 'no date' spoons...I'm totally up for suggestions :)
But It was fun to go through it!
I have some really fun spoons in there :)

I have one from my Wedding Day
"His and Hers" spoons from anniversary 2
"California 2006"
"Hunter 48 - Kearns 10 - 10-14-2005"
"Super Bowl 2005"
Family Reunions
"St. George 2012"
One from when we heard Baby's heart beat for the first time :)
One from Little Brother Being born :)
I even found my old High School spoon I kept with me incase of Ice Cream emergancies :)

I love my spoons

Food For Thought

I know there are many different views of this.
Many many.
Many.
But I think this puts it in a new light that some don't always notice.
Watch this :)

I know it might make things different for some
might make things difficult for some
But I think this man deserved to be an official part of his loved ones life.

Finding the Pink

So along with seeing all this negativity
I want people to realize you can still find the good when the bad is all around!

So for a bit I went to a therapist,
when I first found I had depression,
and she taught me the BEST trick :)
I use it all the time
and it totally helps!

- K-
I want you to see this picture!
(firstly I love it! I wish I could paint like this!)

Now find all the black and brown in this picture.
When you think you've got it scroll down
...
...
....
....
.....
......
.......
No really scroll away from this picture :)
.......
......
....
..
.
 Now
I want you to think
Do you remeber the pink?
Kinda hard ey?

 The Lesson :
You can't find the good if your too busy looking for the bad
Look for the good! find the good!

Fun at Clean up Time

As other mommies will know, with little (and I'm sure big) ones, clean up time ends up being less clean up time and more "ARGH!" time :)
Today I did my cleaning and Baby was left with her stuff, it is her responsibility to put her stuff away.
Today she was most original with her angry declorations :
  • "I wish you were in jail!"
  • "I wish daddy was home! he doesn't make me do this! HE'D put you in jail!"
  • "if your nice I'll let you zip my jacket"
  • "if you help me clean up, I'll let you zip my jacket. Thats what families are for.
I love being a mommy :)

LOTS OF CRAFTS!!!!

So Jessica's all
"YAY BLOGGING!!"
Then she stops for a week and a half... :)

BUT I HAVE A GOOD EXCUSE!
I was getting crazy crafty :) So with every free second I was doing that instead....
But now I'm sharing it with you!

First crafty :
So I made Baby that guitar right? and she was all "I LOVE IT!"
Then she started pretending that it was a violin...
And then Jessica got a crafty little bee in her bonnet...
So Jessica went from this :
TO THIS!!!
YEAH BUDDY!
Sorry...when I know I done good I tend to be proud of myself :)
An I made a Violin! I think I made it backwards though...I think the chin thingy is s'pose to go on the other side and that it's s'pose to be held by the other hand...
Violining friends : am I right??
But by awesome randomness, the straw bow actually makes Violin sounds on the "strings" :)

Second crafty actually comes in three parts:
First you must know, that the nursery in my ward had a...missunderstanding :) and we lost all of our nursery stuff *sad face* So I decided to make some new stuff :)

Uno:
Well...uno I don't have a picture of...
I made a parachute blanket :)
kinda hard to take a picture of...

Dos and Tres :
BLANKETS!!!

At this point I say
THANK YOU MOMMY!!!
She gave me the sewing machine that helped me make these so thank you mommy!

*Happy Sigh*
And there you have it:)

A VERY good crafty week :)

I still need to make it colorfull...But I am very much liking it :) as is Baby:) she's been wanting a Yukalele for a long while, but SHOOT. You know how much those things cost? I'll give you a hint : TOO MUCH!!! And she'll prolly get just as much out of this as she would a real one:)

Hungry Games and Bordom

As some might know at our house we have a - slightly sadistic - thing we do :)
I've lovingly called it

The Hungry Games!!!

The Hungry Games is when we find bugs in our house, We put them in a jar. And we don't just stopped there. Ok, sometimes it stops there (joy's of living in an apartment, not a lot of bugs:)) becuase we lack in bugs. But then when we get lucky we find more bugs. Then we put them in the same jar, and we see who servives :)
Yes Cruel. BUT informative:) for instance. I found that bettles bleed blue. And  spiders are scared of the common household centapede:)
Todays Games :
The Bed bug and the Weavel :)
and go figure
The Weavel came out victorious!
I was a little surprised:)
Given I'm pretty sure the bed bug might've already been dead...
But still:)

and for bordom and Jessica's random immagination:) I give you
Baby's Elephant mask

I had to put an extension layer in her easter dress (4T my eye), used  an old shirt that was just headed to DI any who and I realized the sleeve looked like a trunk:)
So, Yeah, I'm awesome :)
and yes, Baby is dressing herself :)

There you go, a look into my daily life:)

How Would You Feel?

Ok, this is going to be one area where I feel really good about blogging again :)
I can get on and let out all the thoughts in my head :)

The latest one that just makes me feel so sad is Gay Marriage. LoL lets refraze that. It is not Gay marriage in it's self that makes me sad, Heavens no, it's the people on both sides of the fence that make me feel sad. There is so much anger. For anyone that doesn't know I don't like anger, it makes me crazy uncomfy :). And for those people who have choosen a side and are harshly crying out their battle cry I say these words.

For those Pro :
I know some that are very pro, even some that would benifit greatly from Gay Marriage (And love them DEEPLY!) and I know there are definately acceptions to what I'm going to say. BUT I know some that are pro and are angry. And I don't know how people that are so pro, and fighting for freedom of Love but are shouting angry words to convey their message. It seems counter productive to this passive person :)

For those that are Against :
(this is where my rant lies)
Along with the "very pro" I know many that are "very against". The saddest part to the very against people (and again, exclude the ecceptions) is that some of them share my belief system (LDS IN THE HOUSE!!!). And I think those people make me saddest of all. And here is why.

There is a group of people that lived, oh...160 some odd years ago. A happy people :) they loved each other, they loved where they lived, and above all they loved their beliefs. Saddly though, the city people, decided that they were none to fond of these people. And after a time, the city saddly passed an "extermination proclamation". Can you imagine? These people were not trying to make the city as a whole join their group, they were not forcing anyone to do anything. And still the city forced them to leave. All because of their beliefs.

Any guesses on who these people were?

I'll give you a hint :
Our beloved ancestors. Cast out because of their beliefs.

Can you imagine what our ancestors would say to some of the angry words that are posted on facebook status's? Seeing us put down another group simply because of their beliefs?

They weren't asking the city of Nauvoo to convert, for all to join our religion. They only asked for a place to live. An accepting place to live out their lives.

I'm not saying that you have to vote "pro" to Gay Marriage. I'm saying they deserve to live in peace, just as the rest of us do :) To just be happy :)

Thanks for listening:)

Go hug someone :)

The End :)

It's Been A Few (9) months :)

Had to remember when something happened, and thanks to having babies, my memory doesn't exist, so I had to look it up. And the only place I could think of that it might be was my blog :) and boy, I used to have so much fun writing in this thing:) So I'm going to TRY again at this writing thing again... We'll see how it goes :)

Now lets see...what did you miss...

Big One :

Welcome to my blog our newest edition : Little Brother :)
Born in August, 7 pounds and had to be evicted!
And can I just say I love that my babies have to be evicted! It makes birthing day so much easier!
Baby absolutely is in LOVE with little brother :)
And for honestly,
I love being a mommy :)
I've always had that *as many have* feeling of being...stuck feeling. Like I'm suppose to being going somewhere but I just can't quite get there.
But since little brother, I've found it :)
I love being the mother to these two AMAZING children.
This is what Heavenly Father put me on this earth to do :)
And I love it.

Number dos :

Joshua got a new job...again...BUT he LOVES THIS ONE!!!
Welcome to Utah : Trader Joe's!
Yep, this is me totally endorsing The Hubby's new job.
It's so great!
Like whole foods I've been told (never actually been to whole foods), but better! The atmosphere is SO much fun! There people are always happy to help!
And Baby's favorite part?
Baby sized carts:)

Ok I think thats it:) For not writing anything for 9 months this is taking forever:) We'll try again in a couple days :)

Luv Mush
